Elizabeth Knight | Chief Executive Officer At Fogarty Foundation

Fiona Crowe | CEO At UWA & Curtin At St Catherine's College

Scott Millar | Chief Executive Officer At BOP Industries

Speakers Coming Soon!

For generations, our schooling system has been shaped by a model designed to prepare students for factory-based careers, prioritising structure, uniformity, and academic outcomes. While the world has changed dramatically, many aspects of our education system have remained the same. As we look to the future, the question must be asked: are we preparing students for the world that was, or the world that’s coming?

In this panel, education leaders will explore how we can evolve our systems to better prepare students for the future. We'll be asking what it looks like to balance academic rigour with the development of essential human skills, and how education communities can create learning experiences that reflect the world students are entering, not the one we came from.

From Watercooler Chats To VR Huddles: Rethinking Work In A Connected World

Dan Baker | Design Director At Accenture Song

Jeroen Van Dalen | Program Director At The Bloom: Centre For Youth Innovation

Not long ago, the workplace was defined by desks, commutes, and casual conversations by the watercooler. Today, it’s not uncommon to see colleagues connecting in virtual reality huddles, with teams collaborating from their kitchen tables, co-working spaces, and beach-side villas from anywhere in the world.

In this fireside chat, industry leaders will explore how shifting expectations, globalisation, and digital transformation are reshaping workplaces across every sector. Unpacking the trends driving change, debunking the myths around the future of work, and exploring how the employer–employee relationship is evolving, this conversation will give educators a window into the workplace realities their students will face as they leave the school gates.

From new models of connection and collaboration to the evolving definitions of career success, this session invites educators to reflect on how we can better prepare students to thrive in a world of work that looks nothing like the one we once knew.

More Panellists Coming Soon!

Behind every innovative learning experience is a version that didn’t quite work. Or two. Or five. In this candid conversation, educators pull back the curtain on the creative chaos, trial runs, and “what were we thinking?” moments that helped them design learning experiences that truly landed.

From misjudged prototypes to student feedback that hit a little too close to home, you’ll hear the real stories of how big ideas were stress-tested, scrapped, and ultimately rebuilt into something better. Expect laughter, honesty, and plenty of insights for levelling up your own approach to innovation in the classroom.
