Hannah Mast

I'm a secondary Mathematics teacher based in Western Australia, on a mission to persuade every student that they can think mathematically (and enjoy it). As data literacy and data processing skills become increasingly vital for preparing students to be job-ready and informed citizens, I focus on designing classroom activities and assessments that maintain academic rigour while being relevant to their world.

I particularly enjoy creating tasks that spark curiosity and deeper understanding. I'm especially excited about the introduction of the Modelling strand in the WA Maths Curriculum Version 9, rolling out next year. While my background is in Mathematics, this masterclass is designed to support educators across all subject areas in developing meaningful, data-rich learning experiences.
