Malcolm Steinberg

Malcolm Steinberg founded the Leisure and Allied Industries Group (LAI Group) of companies in April 1958 and remained the CEO until 2013 and is now non-executive Chairman. The LAI Group comprises 8 core businesses. It began with Timezone a family oriented interactive entertainment centres which now operates throughout Australia, New Zealand, and 5 countries in southeast Asia including India. The other 7 companies provide a range of other entertainment and business services in these countries, the UK and USA.
Overall. the LAI Group operates in 10 countries with 350+ Entertainment venues and Sales offices and has more than 9,000 employees.
After stepping down from an Executive role in the LAI Group, Malcolm became non-Executive Chairman. In 2019 he established a Private Ancillary Fund known as Malka Foundation.
