Sisonke plans, curates, and leads strategic conversations with organisations and communities to challenge racism, sexism, and inequality.
She is the author of two books and writes Ms Understanding, a biweekly column for The Guardian.
Currently, she serves as Head of Storytelling at the Centre for Stories and as Program Director of the REACH Fellowship. Her prolific career has included roles as Curator and Associate Director of the Perth Festival’s Literature & Ideas program, and as Executive Director of the Open Society Initiative for Southern Africa (OSISA).
Her writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Al Jazeera, Guernica, Lapham’s Quarterly, Daily Maverick, and many other publications.
